Yoga Therapy is a technique that allows people to manage their health using the principles of Yoga. A range of yoga practices are developed to assist people in overcoming any discomfort or imbalances resulting from specific conditions. The practices are designed to assist in generally improving a person’s physical, mental and spiritual health. This is done using a variety of yogic principles dependent on the condition, in a one-on-one nurturing environment. It is about assisting the individual, rather than focusing on the condition. The tools used may include pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures), relaxation, meditation, and as applicable, lifestyle counselling.
